Clothing
Believe it or not, keeping cool starts with your clothes! What you wear can have a big impact on whether you feel cool or hot, and in the summer we're sure you'll want to be feeling as cool as a cucumber! It's best to wear clothes that are light and loose and have a more breathable fabric or material. Whether you want to keep it cool in these loose summer shorts or want to dress in style with this summer jumpsuit in 3 gorgeous colours. Another tip is to try to wear lighter colours as these do not absorb as much heat as darker colours like black or navy, and so you will feel cooler. Think white flowy dresses, yellow flowery trousers or floral colourful skirts!
Stay Hydrated
Staying hydrated is one of the most important things to do in the summer, and we've got plenty of ways to help you stay hydrated! You should drink plenty of water throughout the day, which you can do easily with this personalised water bottle and regularly refill throughout the day to keep yourself topped up. Of course, it's best to drink water, but if you'd rather drink something else or turn your water into wine, then we also have this personalised wine tumbler, we'll cheers to that! Don't forget you can always stick your water bottle in the fridge or freezer for about an hour for a nice chilling drink.
Exercise
You don't have to let the sun ruin your workout routine with our ways of exercising in a cooler temperature during summer! It's best to plan any outdoor exercise that you want to do for slightly cooler times like first thing in the morning or later on in the evening once the sun has set! Or you could hit the gym and make the most of their air conditioning for a really cool workout. There's also the option of setting up your own home gym and then you can avoid the sun. We've got all the equipment that you could possibly need to create your very own gym, including this folding treadmill, this exercise bike and this home gym bundle!
Ice Lollies & Ice Cream
This might be our favourite way to cool down as we get a tasty treat at the same time. When it's sunny, don't forget to keep a look out for the ice cream van going down your road, or if you miss it, you could always have a go at making your own! We've got some great deals that will see you getting creative as well as cool. Make some refreshing ice lollies with these ice lolly moulds and get creative with your flavours! Perfect for a summer dessert or as a treat during the day. If you're needing to stock the freezer up, then our ice cream hamper will be just the thing for you! It contains favourites like Twisters, Lemonade Refreshers, Nobbly Bobbly, and Mr Bubble. Or if you fancy something a little different that you could do with the kids, we've got this ice cream making kit where you can make chocolate, honeycomb and vanilla ice cream. You'll have everything you need in the kit to create your masterpieces!
Fans & Coolers
One of the best ways to keep you and your home cool is with fans and coolers. Sometimes opening the windows just isn't enough and that's where we come in with our range of fans and coolers. We have this cooling tower fan which rotates so everybody can get a bit of the cool breeze! It also has adjustable speed settings, so whether you need it all day long or to keep you cool as you sleep, you'll be able to pick the perfect temperature. If you're needing to keep yourself cool on the go or on your daily commute, then our portable fan with power bank will be perfect! You can hang it round your neck to keep you cool and charge it up for 4 hours of cooling, or you can charge your phone with it. Or we have this portable air cooler which features wheels so you can easily move it round the house with you or take it to a friends house!
Other Ways To Keep Cool
It may sound crazy, but one of the best ways to keep cool is actually by eating spicy foods! The science behind it is that spicy foods make us sweat more, and sweating actually cools us down. You can grab yourself a chilli cookbook and sweat it out! Another idea is to freeze your bedsheets to make them much cooler than they normally would be. We also have summer duvets here for you to get your hands on! These are much lighter than other duvets so should help keep the heat at bay. A good suggestion is to put a bowl of ice in front of your fan and there you've made your very own air conditioner! Plus, when it melts you can always refill, refreeze and then rejoice as you'll be cooled down.
