What Is A Full Brazilian Wax?

You may be wondering what is the difference between a regular bikini wax and a Brazilian wax? Well, think of a Brazilian wax as a step beyond a bikini wax. During a Brazilian wax, the pubic hair is groomed and removed from the front of the pubic bone, around the external genitals, between the upper thighs, and around the anus. This is in comparison to a basic bikini line wax which typically cleans up hair in the groin region that could poke out from your bikini bottoms, on the sides of the bikini, and between the belly button and pubic bone. How Long Does A Brazilian Wax Last?

A Brazilian wax will typically last around three to four weeks. However, this all depends on how fast your hair grows and how dark your hair is. Once the hair is at least ¼ inches long you can go in for another wax. However, in the meantime you should be careful to avoid shaving as it can lead to itchiness, irritation, or ingrown hairs. If you stick to a monthly waxing schedule, you're more likely to find waxing easier than shaving, and less painful every time.

As with any other form of hair removal, waxing has some potential side effects. So, you may notice some redness or discolouration, or bumps immediately after your wax. However, this is incredibly common and should subside within 24 hours. To help with the healing process, you can apply some moisturisers or serums made for the pubic region. But if you're not used to pubic hair removal at all then you may experience some itching. However, you must resist the urge to scratch! As scratching can cause further irritation or microtears in the skin. If you do experience some itching simply apply a topical hydrocortisone cream, or some aloe vera gel to soothe the area.
