- Day 1: After flying into Cairo you’ll be taken to The Oasis Hotel where you’ll be free to relax in the palatial 4* surrounds, take a dip in the pool or head out into the vibrant city for shopping, food and fun!
- Day 2: First stop on your Egypt tour is the pyramids and iconic lion-headed sphinx at Giza Plateau before moving on to see the myriad tombs and temples at Zhoser’s step pyramid. The evening will see you journey down to Luxor in southern Egypt via sleeper train (cabin upgrades available, enquire when booking).
- Day 3: After stepping off the train you’ll be taken to the 5* Sonesta Saint George Hotel to check in, with the rest of the day free to explore the 4000 year old city. In the evening you’ll have the option to visit the Temple of Luxor - a majestic piece of architecture comprised of spacious halls, courts and colonnades decorated with colossal statues of famous pharaohs. Visiting in the evening allows you to see the temple illuminated, creating an evocative and truly memorable experience.
- Day 4: Day 4 will see you head to The Valley of The Kings where you’ll view incredible sights such as the 18-metre high Colossi of Memnon and The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut - one of Egypt’s most popular attractions. The afternoon will take you to the East Bank, where you’ll have time to relax as well as visit the Temple of Kamak - a maze of sanctuaries, chapels and obelisks dedicated to the Theban Gods. The evening will be spent on the overnight train back to Cairo.
- Day 5: After returning to Cairo you can take respite from the heat with a guided tour of the Egyptian Museum, which houses a vast array of antiquities spanning thousands of years. Arguably the highlight of the museum is Tutankhamun’s solid gold funeral mask, and you’ll get to view the 11kg spectacle for yourself. The remainder of the day will be free to relax, shop and enjoy the spoils of ancient Cairo.
- Day 6: Hotel check-out and transfer to the airport.
