• Day 1: Cairo Welcome to Egypt and the start of your holiday! Arrive in Cairo and take the included transfer to hotel, where you’ll stay overnight.
• Day 2: Pyramids & Saqqara Visit the famous pyramids and lion-headed Sphinx at Giza Plateau, before continuing to Saqqara - where you’ll explore the myriad of tombs and temples and see Zhoser’s step pyramid. Later you’ll take an overnight train to Aswan, benefitting from 1st class recliner seats.
• Day 3: Philae Temple After arriving and checking into the hotel where you’ll stay for the night, you’ll visit the mighty High Dam and Lake Nasser. • Day 4: Felucca Cruise In the afternoon you’ll board the Nile felucca to begin your 2-night voyage downstream on the River Nile.

Later, head back to your hotel and relax for the evening.
• Day 7: Valley of the Kings An early start allows you to avoid some of the fierce midday heat as you venture to the tomb-strewn Valley of the Kings. After lunch you’ll visit the colossal Temple of Karnak - with its stone-columned Hypostle Hall - before returning by overnight train to Cairo.
• Day 8: Egyptian Museum After arriving and checking in at the hotel where you’ll stay overnight, you’ll visit the Egyptian Museum - famed for the treasures of King Tutankhamen and his famous solid gold funerary mask. Spend the remainder of the day exploring Cairo your way.
