British Gas SwimBritain is a series of new swimming team relay events happening across Britain this August and September - and they're looking for teams of four to join in! Grab the rest of your family or three friends and head down to one of eleven venues to participate in this energetic, fun-filled day. With guest swimming stars and celebrities from the likes of Rebecca Adlington to David Walliams, SwimBritain guarantees to inspire wannabe-swimmers or anyone looking to get fit! Choose to swim either a 4,000m relay (each person swims four 250m laps) or a 2,000m relay (each person swims four 150m laps) with your team of four, using chipped timing bands to track how you do in real time! If you're feeling extra daring, why not take to the open water in the Great Lake at Blenheim Palace with a 4,000m team relay (sorry, no children allowed on this one). Prior to your relay, you'll be given four 30-minute in-pool coaching sessions by an accredited swimming coach to help boost your confidence and strength.
